batBack FAQ

batBack is the #1 blog serverless blog toolkit on the internet today. Installing batBack typically takes less than a minute, and no technical knowledge is required. batBack is also fully configurable and programmable, offering more than a dozen skins and an open interface so that developers can add their own items to the tookit for the community to share. batBack works with most all blogging engines and browsers. And best of all, it's free!

batBack is a work in progress. Please forgive our mess and bear with us and we constantly strive to make the system better for all users. No matter what, your blog will continue to work as usual, so you need not worry about that.

Installing batBack can't be simpler. When you sign up, we visit your blog and create a configuration file that we keep on our servers. Then we email to you one line of code that you need to copy and paste into your blog template. That's all there is to it. If you like the toolbox, we have other one-line gizmos we plan to offer as well to make your blog more interesting. We currently have a sidebar that shows the most popular and recented rated articles on the entire batBack system and on your blog. When you vote on an article, a link to your blog appears on dozens (maybe hundreds or thousands one day) of other blogs, giving you exposure to thousands of people. If your article is highly rated by your users, readers of other blogs can see it and click to visit.

If you would like to see more of batBack, visit our sign-up page. There you can find a Powerpoint presentation that describes the benefits to both bloggers and users, as well as a more technical Flash demo that walks through some of the options.

I hope you like batBack and find it useful. My goal is to make your blogs and blog-reading experience a lot better than it is today. If you have any suggestions or comments, I'm always wanting to hear how batBack can make blogging more fun for everybody.

Daniel

Public Service Announcement - Diabetes and Neuropathy

As the owner of this site, I'd like to tell you something about diabetes and neuopathy, since I've found out that it is affecting a very good friend of mine. "What is dibetes?" you might ask. Diabetes is when your body cannot produce insulin effectively for your cells to work. Check out the What is Diabetes site for more information. Over time, as I understand it, the diabetic condition can start causing tingling or loss of feeling in your extremities. Neuropathy is the general condition of nerve damage that causes tingling -- ever get the feeling that your foot is asleep? Then you've experienced something like Neuropathy. When most people talk about neuropathy, though, they mean the nerves that go to the outside of your body, or Peripheral Neuropathy.

The problem is that, over time, Diabetic Neuropathy can lead to infections and even amptuation, so it's nothing to mess around with. Usually this happens in the feet first. Neuropathy in Feet should be looked at by a doctor immediately. If you're obese, or have had problems with weight control, you could be a candidate for neuropathy at some point. Proper control of blood sugar, when started at an early age, can eliminate lots of problems later on. I know this might sound like preaching, but if you're experiencing a lot of tingling in your extremities, or you have relatives that have had diabetes, be aware that diabetes and neuropathy are serious, deadly conditions that can strike with little warning. See the articles above for more information. You'll be glad you did, okay? End of sermon.
